This Mexican mixed lot offers bright green fruit acidity balanced by a nutty, jam-like sweetness on the finish.

In the late 1800s, Mexican President Porfirio Díaz wanted to modernise Mexico and attract European capital, expertise, and settlers. Part of this initiative involved inviting over 450 German families to relocate to the Soconusco region in Southern Mexico to grow coffee. Around 70% of the coffee grown here was exported back to Germany. Finca Guadelupe Zaju carries this heritage and was owned by German families all the way up until 2003 when it was bought by its current owner—Teddy Esteve.

The bright green fruit acidity hit me right away on the first sip, but that nutty, jam-like finish is what kept me coming back for a second cup. This Mexican lot has a nice balance that feels both lively and comforting.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but the bright green fruit acidity in this one really wakes up my morning routine—it’s like a crisp apple bite before the jam-like sweetness rolls in. The finish lingers just enough to make the next sip feel like a treat.

Eva ★★★★★

The nutty, jam-like sweetness on the finish is what keeps me coming back—it balances the bright acidity perfectly, and the cup stays smooth even as it cools. I've already brewed a full bag in a week, no regrets.
