The handheld espresso maker is light and extremely portable, producing a remarkable 9 bar of pressure through the use of two intricately machined, patented filters.
Fiddled with the grind size a couple mornings, but once dialed in, the pressure you get just from pushing down is genuinely impressive for something this small. The shot it pulls has a proper crema, as close to my countertop machine as I’ve gotten while camping.
The first shot I pulled with just hot water and steady pressure came out with a proper crema layer that surprised me for something this small. The whole thing breaks down and fits in my palm, so it’s become my go-to for camping mornings without any of the fuss of a full machine.
Finally, a portable espresso that actually tastes like real espresso instead of burnt water. The pressure you get from just pushing down manually is surprisingly consistent, and it’s small enough to throw in my daypack for camping trips.
